Konkan Wibes

Konkan, my most favorite place in Maharashtra to relax and enjoy with family. This time we visit Guhagar and Ratnagiri. In Ratnagiri we visited Patit Pavan mandir, it is a Hindu temple built by Shriman Bhagojisheth Keer on February 22 1931, inspired by Swatantryavir Vinayak Damodar Savarkar. Because Savarkar wanted to build a place, where every human being from each cast can come and pray to God. And we also visit a museum where things related to Savarkar were displayed.  Then we visited Guhagar and Velneshwar and visited holi temples of Shiva and Navadurga. We travel between Ratnagiri and Guhagar by costal road via Aareware beach. These beaches are cleaned and beautiful and not crowded like Goa. The food was very special with Konkan and brahmani taste. As vegetarian I personally prefer Amtibhat, Thalipith, Modak, Solkadhi, Amboli and many other vegetarian dishes which are famous in Konkan.
